Dear Hurdy Gurdy Friends,

We have the pleasure of inviting you to this year’s Lissberger Leiertage. It’s been a couple of tough years with the pandemic which is why we are really pleased that the Leiertage 2022 can take place. The corona safety rules and regulations of the German and Hessian governments and the regional authority Vogelsbergkreis in place at the time of the workshops will apply.

In addition to workshops for beginners, intermediate and advanced players, there will also be theme-based workshops. Planned tutors for this year are: Alexander Bloch, Claudia Elmer, Isabel Kraft, Scott Marshall, Peter Streng and Ron Winkler.

Camping will be available again (tent, van etc.). As the toilets and showers on the campsite haven’t been used for over two years, they will not be available to us. However, there are toilets and one shower in the Burghalle which can used. For those who would like more comfort, the Buergerstiftung Lissberg accommodation in shared rooms (https://www.buergerstiftung-lissberg.de/buchungen).

Accommodation costs are not included in the workshop fee.

You can look forward to a great and inexpensive breakfast with freshly baked bread and also the possibility to order inexpensive warm lunchtime and evening meals (there will also be vegetarian options) from an Italian restaurant in Ortenberg. The cost of meals is not included in the workshop fee.

Registration / Workshop Fee:

The workshop fee is €150 (including camping and "Kulturbeitrag") and is to be paid to workshop organisors in Lissberg.

Visitors / Partners:  

Camping (tent, campervan, caravan, van etc.) and "Kulturbeitrag"

(electricity for caravans is limited)

€15 pro person and day /

€50 for the whole weekend

Instruments / renting a hurdy gurdy for the weekend:

All hurdy gurdies are welcome!

Instruments should be in a good and playable condition.

If you don't have your own hurdy gurdy you can rent an instrument for the weekend for a fee of €30.

Please contact Kurt Reichmann in advance if you need an instrument!

Accommodation / Catering:

Camping (tent, car, van, caravan etc.). There are toilets and one shower in the hall.

B&Bs are few and far between in Lissberg itself. In the surrounding area, such as Ortenberg, there are some. Anyone wishing to stay in a B&B will need to organise a room themselves:

There is only a butcher in Lissberg, so you'll need to bring some provisions with you for the weekend.
